- Any ICT SME’s can be a Member of Pak ICT Consortium. An expression of interest shall be submitted in writing by the ICT SME and to be approved by the Executive Council of the Consortium
- The Executive Council can invite an ICT SME to be a Member of the Consortium if the Executive Council feels that the specific strengths of that ICT SME will strengthen the portfolio base of the Consortium
- All Academic Institutions providing ICT programs can become Members. An expression of interest shall be submitted in writing by the Institution and to be approved by the Executive Council of the Consortium
- The Executive Council can invite an Academic Institution to be a Member of the Consortium if the Executive Council feels that the specific strengths of that Institution will strengthen the portfolio base of the Consortium.
- Apart from ICT SMEs and Academia, other entities whose primary business is not ICT can also join in the capacity that they want their IT department or ICT function to empower from different activities that the consortium shall be conducting like trainings, seminars etc.
- The CEC has the right to not entertain any entity for membership based on the criteria that it may not be in the best interest of the consortium or to avoid some major conflict either internally or externally. The decision in this regard of the CEC shall be binding.
HONORARY MEMBERS/VOLUNTEERS
- Distinguished persons who support the aims and objectives of the Consortium irrespective of their affiliations with other institutions, can be invited by the executive council to become Honorary Members
- Talented pool of people who are eager to work on projects/assignments as per aims and objectives of the organization can be invited to become Volunteer Members
- The executive council members can recommend nominations for membership of this category to the President for consideration
- The executive council will have the authority to add/remove any honorary members / volunteers in the best interest of the organization
Role of the Executive Council of Pakistan ICT Consortium:
EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
- The Executive Council will consist of talented pool of volunteers from ICT SME’s, who are eager to work on projects/assignments as per aims and objectives of the organization
- The President will head the Executive Council and will be the Chief Executive of the organization
- The Executive Council shall work under the guidance of the President
- The Executive Council Members will be appointed or elected for a term of 3 years by the general membership
- The Executive Council Officers are to hold offices for a maximum of two consecutive terms
- The Executive Council Members will perform duties as assigned by the President
- Any vacancies during the two year period shall be filled by the Executive Council by a consensus of a simple majority vote amongst, the then in - office members of the Executive Council, after obtaining an approval from the President
- The meeting of the Executive Council can be held in person, by proxy, or via communication medium such as telephone. A quorum of fifty percent is required which must include at least the President or his designee
- The Executive Council shall have the right to accept/reject any request/application for membership and can appoint honorary members
- The Executive Council members must report any formal and extraordinary contact with any organization or leaders in writing to the President. Consequent progress resulting from such contact must also be furnished in writing on a timely basis to the President
- A member of the Executive Council shall not make any representation or issue an statement on behalf of Pakistan ICT Consortium in favor or against any party or a group without prior consent of the Executive Council
- Each member of the Executive Council will submit a progress/status report every month to the President for a review
- Any member of the Executive Council may be removed by the President whenever in his/her judgment the best interests of the Consortium would be served thereby. Alternatively, President may seek an approval from the other members of the Executive Council through a consensus or majority vote
- The Executive Council through a consensus or a majority vote can remove any ICT SME from the consortium if the SME violates the laws of the consortium or is involved in activities not approved/adopted by the consortium
